The Radical Experiment - 1 Year Challenge

I read a book that, besides the Bible, has been the biggest game changer book in my life.  It is called Radical by David Platt.

I can't even begin to share with you all of the wisdom that I gained from reading this book, but I do want to share the challenge.

At the end of the book Mr. Platt lays out a year-long challenge with the following terms:

1.  Pray for the entire world
2.  Read through the entire Word.
3.  Sacrifice your money for a specific purpose.
4.  Spend your time in another context.
5.  Commit your life to a multiplying community.

I believe that his book is scripturally accurate and he gives the reader some very thoughtful questions to chew on regarding the way we, as believers, are spending our lives.

I want to weekly write about how our challenge/journey is going.  I want to do it not so much as a means of accountability, but as a means of sharing with you what God is doing in our lives!!

Over the next couple of weeks I will take the time to explain some of the challenges as well as give you some tools to use if you choose to take up the challenge.  Also, if you have not read the book and you are interested in reading it, let me know!!  I will do what I can to provide you with a Bible and the book.

Our family began the challenge on Monday, so 2/9/2016 will be our end date.

The Lord has already called us out on a new journey in our lives and I am excited to see how He uses this challenge to glorify Himself throughout it!
